5 Trouble Shooting 5.1 Trouble Shooting Software Another program, M2AdaptorDriver, is also available at each site for m2 Support use and for general trouble-shooting. This program allows manual control of the Adaptor processes and some of the Extractor processes. It is generally only used by M2 support staff and for analysis and testing for new Adaptors. It provides manual repair facilities for the RawInput data and manual operation of the Adaptor process itself on a single message or step-by-step basis to assist trouble-shooting and re-submission of messages which have been rejected or bypassed. 5.2 Errors and possible solutions 5.2.1 Extractor fails to connect to ODBCM2Adaptor The RawInput.gdb database must be installed in the C:\Program Files\m2Controller\Database directory. It does not use a DSN. 5.2.2 Extractor fails to connect to Source Database This connection uses a DSN and a Username and Password to connect to the source database. Ensure that a DSN (probably System level is best) has been set up in Control Panel - (Administrative Tools) - Data Sources (ODBC) and that you have entered this DSN and a User Name and Password as supplied by the Source database administrator. Click on the Test DB Connection to test access.
